கணினிச் சொற்கள் (Computer Acronyms)
இன்றைய கணினி உலகில் புழங்கும் கணினி துறைச்சார் சொற்றொடர்களில் அதிகமானவை, சுருக்கச் சொற்களாகவே அறிமுகமாகின்றன அல்லது பிரபலமாகின்றன. அதனால் அச்சுருக்கச் சொற்களின் முழுச்சொற்றொடர் பலருக்கு தெரியாமலேயே போய்விடுகின்றன. இச்சுருக்கங்களின் முழுச் சொற்றொடர்களையும் அறிந்து வைத்துக்கொள்ளல், அவற்றின் பொருளை எளிதாக விளங்கிகொள்ள வழிவகுக்கும். அதேவேளை ஆங்கில சொல்வளத்தை பெருக்கிக்கொள்ள உதவுவதுடன், ஆங்கில சொல் ஆளுமையை வளர்த்துக்கொள்ளவும் உதவும்.
நாம் தினமும் பயன்படுத்தும் மின்னஞ்சல் சேவையில் "Cc" யை அழுத்தி ஒரே நேரத்தில் ஒரே மின்னஞ்சலை பலருக்கு அனுப்புவோம். அதேவேளை எல்லோருடைய மின்னஞ்சல் முகவரியும் எல்லோருக்கும் சென்றுவிடாது காக்கும் வகையில் "Bcc" யை அழுத்தி அனுப்புவோம். இதுப்போன்ற "Cc, Bcc" இன் சுருக்கங்களின் பயன்பாடு நம் எல்லோரும் அறிந்தவைகளாக இருந்தும், அச்சுருக்கங்களின் முழு சொற்றொடர்கள் நம்மில் பலருக்கு தெரியாமலேயே இருந்திருக்கலாம். எனவே அவற்றை இன்று அறிந்துக்கொள்வோம்.
